WELCOME TO THE WEST WALES COTTAGE GARDEN SOCIETY

Hello and welcome to our web site, which we hope you will enjoy reading and be inspired to join us! In 2008, a small group of members of The Cottage Garden Society, a UK and world wide group, met together to form a local group covering the whole of west Wales. As we cover such a vast and mainly rural area, our focus has been to arrange monthly visits to gardens listed in the National Gardens Scheme- The Yellow Book. We usually arrange private visits with the garden owners and benefit from their undivided attention, often with tea and cakes and the occasional opportunity to buy plants from them. We have also visited our local members' gardens and have swapped plants and seeds with each other, in a friendly and informal atmosphere. As the group grew, we decided to form a Committee in 2010 and our current Committee, some of whose pictures are on our Who's who page, is as follows:

New members are always very welcome. Please look at our current programme, see what's on offer, then come along on any garden visit. If you like what we do, we hope you will then join the Cottage Garden Society. Single membership is presently £12 per year; double: £15 per year. For this, you receive a lively and interesting quarterly magazine, annual free seeds by application and information about all the major Plant Shows where the CGS is represented.
